BSG was proud to provide security for the Haddon Township Equity Initiative’s 3 Day celebration of the rich Black history of South Jersey with an immersive experience connecting past, present, and future generations. On Day 1 we kicked off the weekend with an intergenerational gathering featuring music, food, and community. Elders and youth exchanged stories, honoring the past while uplifting the next generation. The event featured live performances, cultural cuisine, and powerful conversations.
Day 2 featured The Trailblazers Trolley Tour, an immersive, hop-on, hop-off journey exploring the deep Black history of Camden County, with stops including:
- Saddler’s Woods (Haddon Township) – A historic site with cultural significance
- Black-Owned Businesses in Camden & Collingswood – Supporting local entrepreneurship
- Lawnside’s Historic Landmarks – One of the nation’s most significant historically Black communities
Day 3 wrapped up the weekend with a community-centered gathering of music, storytelling, and reflection. Guests enjoyed:
- Live performances to uplift and inspire
- Storytime with STARFIRE (12 PM, RSVP requested) – A special moment for all ages
- Refreshments & conversation to close the weekend in unity
